Transportation
Reynisfjara is best accessed by car. From Reykjavik, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) east towards Vík í Mýrdal. The drive is approximately 2.5-3 hours. Once in Vík, follow the signs to Reynisfjara. Parking is available near the beach, but it can get crowded during peak season. Public buses do service Vík, but schedules may be limited, and you'll still need to walk or take a taxi from Vík to the beach itself.
